That’s weird cause it’s never been irritating for my skin and I use 10% concentration for the spot treatment. But maybe my skin is just really not sensitive cause I’ve never gotten a sunburn and I rarely use sunscreen tbh

The bar for what conditions people choose to treat isn’t “life threatening only”. For a lot of people, their hair is a big part of their identity and it affects their quality of life immensely. I’m not saying people HAVE to treat it, but it also shouldn’t be minimised as it has huge importance for a lot of people.

Can you talk about redness that is not rosacea but a result of chronic skin damage? I have nonallergic rhinitis so I'm constantly blowing my nose. There is very prominent redness under and around the nostrils that does not go away. I can see capillaries there, which seems to be the direct reason of redness, so what chemicals/products should I use to reverse this growth of capillaries?

Tretenoin 0.05% and clindamycin is what I used, and it helped so much with my hormonal acne as an 18-year-old girl.

As a Rosacea patient, I really appreciate all the products mentioned to try. My skin is very fair and sensitive. I was unaware of Ivervectin cream, but will ask my dermatologist about it. I have had good resulrs with Finacea, Doxycycline, but still get some severe flare ups at times. Thank you for the video on Rosacea.

Fantastic. I love this video and the refreshing honesty. I’ve been down the skin care rabbit hole and come out with way more questions than confidence and facts. Ive tried lots of products and only a few made my skin feel “good”. As for the dreaded hyperpigmentation that I gained from youthful exuberant exposure to sun baking I found only IPL worked. The only thing I still wonder is what the heck are all the ingredients in these products and how many are actually not great to rub into our skin and absorb into our body. So I’ll stick to minimal ingredient products and just the basics. And yes I will now be a subscriber to the new category of postings by Dr Syed😊

@@usamasyed Thank you for answering! May I also ask, I have taken a 2 week break from washing my face with any products and I've only washed my face using water in the morning. After washing and throughout the day my skin felt more on the oily side. Today I used the CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser to do the "blotting paper" test to find out my skin type and after cleansing my face is dry. I also have acne and much redness.

Ngl I’m always thinking I need a routine, but whenever I get one (which is usually only like a couple weeks out of a year) my skin starts to break out more. Generally my skin stays relatively clear and smooth with just water and bar soap 😅 and I’ve grown to accept the seasonal and hormonal changes (occasional pimples, peeling, dry patches, etc)

Rapid cell division leads to shortening of telomeres. Telomere shortening that occurs naturally with each round of cell division ultimately leads to chromosome ends becoming exposed and activating a DNA damage response, which results in a permanent arrest known as replicative senescence. That will lead to aging. I never understand how retinols can prevent aging?
